Yes the hydraulic switch is funky; coincidentally just saw them for sale at Jeg’s, among brake stuff. I do not like them, can leak. Or do this. You can adapt a lever type V3 or larger microswitch to pedal mount so when pedal leaves stop, the switch clicks. What I do,. Also later Mopars used a similar thing , two pin switch on pedal on a bracket.
