I have 8.50x14 bias ply’s on my single 4bbl K. Had them for the last 3 years. No problems.  Yes bias ply’s wonder a bit. But I like the original look and feel. The main reason I went to 15” on the Ram K was I wanted something different then the Factory K hub cap. Basically a Newport cap with a 300 medallion. I ended up going with J caps. Still a factor look. My only issue with the B F Goodrich’s is the 5” tread width. We’re the original Goodyear’s that narrow in 63,64 ?

If you want bias ply tires like 1964 OEM those are reasonable, but not really any different from 8.50-14 or 9.00-14 available from same source. But personally if I had changed to the 15 inch wheels, I would be going with a production grade radial - as opposed to a low volume $pecialty tire made in small batches frequently with old technology.

OE dimensions from BF Goodrich Tire Engineering Data

8.50-14 were approx 28.2 diameter,

9.00-14 approx 28.8,

7.60-15 approx 28.8 - but load capacity same as 8.50-14

You have several good options in current production radials with narrow whitewall. These are actual measured dimensions of several NOS and current radial tires

Looking to purchase a set of tires for my ram K. Switched over to 15 rims. I see Coker has B F Goodrich 760 x15 bias ply with a 1” white wall. 28.6” OD. 5” tread width. Seems to be a close to original replacement. Has anyone had any experience with these ?. Or recommend a replacement ?. Greg
