The one listed for 200.00 is a NOS LOCKING gas cap and not your standard Gas Cap. The corrected part number 1948754, Locking Gas Cap, according to the parts book also fits the 1961 and the 1962 Chrysler, Plymouth and Dodge. May also fit other years.

If anyone really NEEDS a Locking Gas Cap, and don't want to pay 200.00 for a NOS Chrysler Locking Gas Cap, I have a few NOS Stant Locking Gas caps that I will sell for 20.00 each plus shipping. They come with two keys.

Wow!! $200 for a gas cap. Things are getting expensive. I might have a original that I glass beaded and cad plated, looks like new. I would have to verify I have, $2 shipping.

Be sure to get a “Vented” cap and one that has good “anti-splashout” capability as the tank filler sits so low. Mine has this stamped into the steel: “VENTED ANTI-SURGE”. No brand name and it fits a little loose so may not be the best one for the car and probably allows a little fuel loss when full and digging out. Check it out at the store before you pay for it—if they trust you.
