RE: [Chrysler300] Chassis plate

This is from an Excel spreadsheet that holds the vertical alignment of the characters.  I can only hope it comes through OK.

From a Google search: http://galengovier.com/        He is a generic MoPar guu and has a business providing what you need-pricey.

Someone with familiarity with 1962 body plates/fender tags should be able to create computer/excel text of your missing plate from data you (hopefully) have from the club’s microfilm record of your car.  My ’64 300Konv plate looks like this:

Top rows:

1234567890

1118  1182  845

Middle rows:

A B C D E F G H J K L M N P Q R S T V W X Y Z

7 2     4            6 1 1 6 9         1     1 2     6  2  4

Bottom Rows:

SO          NUMBER             BDY        TRM       PNT

1118       1182                       845         M8X       TT

A’62 plate would be similar.  Many of the cars’ options and standard equipment are shown on the body plate, but not all.  A ’62 expert could tell you which of the known options and standard equipment codes should appear.  I would suggest having a club expert help you first-to make sure any expensive product you buy from Galen Govier is correct.

Best wishes,

Rich Barber
