Aside from the stall torque question , rebuilding converters has been a disaster for me . Front seal run out issues are huge . No longer do that. They re-weld it , after literally cutting open , and hub is often wobbling way off spec causes leaking front seals. You can mess around trying to shrink one side all that FSM stuff, (good luck with that) but really cannot turn it down to center as it then is smaller. Leave it alone, or get from Junker.. Probably all the same or close to it, practically, for any iron TF or PF. It probably should have been higher stall, to avoid that hard slam you get engaging with 800 RPM idle , but most 300’s do that.
I defer totally to Don Verity, , who has had same experience. He added not much ever goes wrong in them,= ??what are we rebuilding them for, if they work? . he can tell by looking inside, I think drive tabs wear with huge miles but still work fine as a converter.

My understanding was that those C300 torque converters are a higher stall than the rest. I'm sure we have a tranny expert in the club?

Subject: [Chrysler300] C300 torque converter questions
I have a few questions.
1. Is a C300 torque converter the same as Imperial etc?
2. Does anybody have a rebuilt/resealed torque converter for sale?
3. Does anyone know of a Powerflite torque converter rebuilder?
Thanks for any leads.
