I had a an issue when a hot wire that was damaged somehow grounded and started smoking so I quickly disconnected the battery and after investigating I realized that some of the wire totally melted completed. If smoked so bad that I almost had to use an extinguisher. It was so hot that it melted the trunk release cable right off. So now I figured I might as well do it all over correctly and safely.

These cars are a fun challenge

The main harness will probably work or can be modified slightly as needed to work , but power window harness has to be from a 300 . Switches are on console , other mopar have no console . 

 A qualifier ; do Desoto have electroluminescent lighting in dome ? I do not know  . If not , harness will not have that wiring . (?the white wires with red ends ) . Might be able to add it .  

What is wrong with your harness? Both are bad?

Al McDonald just replied that he has a 1960 Desoto harness and would like an opinion from the group if you think it will fit my F
