I live near the Fatsco guys in NJ and their kits are first class. It’s real important to super clean all the parts especially the valve body. What you’re describing sounds like a valve not shuttling properly which can be debris OR the wrong tension spring. I know the kit has all new springs but they must be put in properly. 2 #2 the higher lift cam you install, the lower your vacuum will become. Vacuum pumps are common on hi-po engines from back in the day for just this reason. Curious as to what else you did besides the cam. Real HP gains come from the trio of cam, carbs and headers. Did you improve these??
