George has some problems with his eyes but is still producing lenses. I have been in regular contact with him during the last 6 month and bought a lot of lenses from him.
I can highly recommend doing business with him.

I just spoke with Mick Maxwell in Australia, who's friends with George Laurie there.
Mick affirmed that George is still reproducing some lenses, working limited hours. George also has a pretty decent stock of lenses already in his inventory.
Mick suggests that you reach out directly to him, and he'll connect with George to expedite your order and coordinate payment.
Also note that Mick is heading out on a 16-day cruise tomorrow, and will be available after January 16th.
