Hi Rick,

I have a 1960 Chrysler. Tried a conversion bracket but center rod cracked. Used all-thread. Repaired it with stronger material. 

Eventually, changed engine that had threaded holes in the front of the block and used parts from a 1961 Chrysler. 

Suggest you try this outfit that puts an alternator inside the old generator core. They say they do Chrysler/Mopar.
