{Chrysler 300} axle puller aftermath

If you or a P/O have mushroomed your axle and the thread file won't clean it up, McMaster Carr has your answer:
Cheaper than replacing the axle, and/or finding a new nut after you chew it up!

Thread-Repairing Dies

Rescue mangled threads and return them to like-new condition. By repairing threads, you don’t have to replace the fastener or resize holes. These dies smooth out flaws and remove rust so threads engage properly and connections stay strong. Turn them with a hex die wrench or a standard adjustable wrench.

Don’t risk damaging threads further with an inferior-quality die. Our dies are machined in the U.S. to precise dimensions for a perfect thread profile.
Uncoated Carbon Steel—Hard and wear resistant for a long life, these dies work well on both metal and plastic.
