Can you not have both with anti seize?

Ie the 145ftlbs of tension holding it tight to avoid shear, and the anti seize to keep it from rusting together?

Putting never seize on the tapered axles is defeating the whole purpose of them. They are supposed to be a tight fit. It's not the just the keyway that holds them in place. How many times do you plan to take them off anyway? I would rather they be hard to get off, than have one shear a key and ruin an axle, or worse. Torque on these is 145 pound feet.
