Re: hidden vin numbers

Believe it or not, they don't tell the cops where the hidden vins are! I
have to call the State Patrol and have their VIN inspector come out and check it.
I do have contacts in the National Insurance Crime Bureau that will tell me,
but I have to call them in CA and give them my "secret code" number.
Obviously, this is not for private use. I don't believe the early (pre 68) cars had
hidden vins, but good investigators can "reassemble vins" using the body
style, engine, options, and engine/trans serial numbers. Joe

I.e., send parts/car transactions and negotiations as well as other personal messages only to the intended recipient, not to the Clubhouse public address. This practice will protect your privacy, reduce the total volume of mail and fine tune the content signal to Mopar topic. Thanks!
