RE: Question for all members?

Rick,
I dwell on this daily. I would love to have my own shop and do restores
of our beloved Mopars. I also would like nothing more then to race
professionally. I'm a realist though and I know I could manage a shop, but
would have to have a true mechanic for Engine builds and trannies. A body
and paint man. I'm confident in my abilities to take apart and put
together, but I would feel very intimidated if a Don D., a Gary H. or an
Earl H. walked into my shop. Financial backing is another biggie.
Understand, I'm not talking about a million $$$ speed shop or race team.
I'm talking about a respected, quality Mopar repair shop to support a Pro
Street or similar class car. So for now I sit in my cubicle world and grind
my 40-45hrs out a week answering computer Technical questions and support my
companies software applications until my student loans are paid and my '64
is done. At that time I will look for that one car that will be my Mile
High Mauler...a quarter at a time. At least then I can take my racing
effort more serious and with a little more time and patience should be
racing. So Rick, you got next weeks Lottery #'s? I apologize for the
babbling on. Thanks, Christopher

I wish I did make a living working on these old cars day in and day out.
No,
alas instead I make a living (if you can call it that) working on late model
Dodges. One day I hope to move into restoring and selling parts...that is
if
I don't make it writing for a car magazine. For right now scrapping by as a
line tech for a Dodge dealer makes me a tiny bit to spend on my cars.
