Hi
Looking at the shifter you'll see the backup light switch on the
detent lever, the cable above the switch is the parking lock cable, the shift
selector cable is below the switch.

Subject: 64 727 question

I'm having some problems with my 64 727 transmission...center console
(factory) shifter. Both cables are connected, but I think the idiots that
owned the car before me reconnected them incorrectly (the car isn't
running). Right now, when I spin the rear wheels or push the car, it moves
no matter what position the shift select is in, but there is a "clicking"
noise.

Can anyone give me a description of what cable goes to what connection point
on the factory shifter, so I can tell if they've got it wrong?

Thanks!
Andy
