I was so afraid it would drop the engine I cut a 4x4 and put it under the crankshaft pulley. I also bought the roll around cradle for BB and it toppled over and bent with a 361 block on it last month. The black one with the little wheels. Be careful, it's cheap stuff. Thankfully I was standing right there and put some dunnage down to break the engine's fall and no damage that I can see, but DAMN! I had just taken it off the hoist and creak-creak-BANG! I'm going to have to cross-brace the cradle and the stupid little wheels get caught in every little crack in the floor so I'm going to get 4 large rubber swivel casters. Beware! I'd advise buying something better. Neal - Simple choice - Get the big one - It's a Mopar.. Earl I'm shopping for an engine stand. They seem to come in 750 pound and 1250 pound versions, basicallly the smaller ones have three wheels and the bigger ones four. What would a 440 fully assembled with heads and all weigh?
