I have used just about everything from one time to another, from ATF to water. I have settled on solvent because if I have a valve leak, it shows up quickly. ATF works better for me when I am doing a piston. Check to see if your going to need valve releifs. Don't know what cam your running, but anything up to .5 lift with stock gear won't need them. BUT check it. Earl I just got my kit I ordered for CC'ing Mopar heads and was just checking to see what fluid everyone preferred using to CC the heads and block. The kit states that they prefer windshield washer fluid because it can be seen easily. I thought I might check to see what everyone else uses, maybe there's a better measuring fluid out there. The pistons for my 413 are flat with no valve reliefs. Has anyone cut there own valve reliefs? I'm told the local machine shop can do it.
