Gary, 
The windshield juice is pretty cheap, at a $1.00 a gallon. Already
colored too. 
 Are you sure you need to have reliefs cut on your pistons? You can
sub-assemble the heads on the block, without a gasket, and check the
actual clearance at top dead center. Using "checking springs" and a dial
indicator. This will give you a dimension to work with, figuring cam
lift, rocker ratio, and overlap. After you know that clearance number,
add the compressed head gasket thickness to it. You may be able to save
some extra machine work, and not lower your compression ratio by a
