I used a plate from the Mopar PERFOFMANCE Catalogue. It's been awhile
but I could look up the part #.
also using this plate left an open area underneath which I covered
with a MP sticker.

The firewall is different, but I believe there's a drilled plate
bolted to
the firewall which is what you'd have to change to bolt a master
cylinder
straight on there. Obviously that plate can be gotten off a manual
brake
car. I can't confirm this for '64 but the '65 C-bodies are this way.
I don't know about all Chryslers, but my '65 with power brakes is
touchy.
You get used to it so fast it shouldn't be a problem.

Subject: brake crisis
1964 Fury, power brakes. I called a couple of aftermarket disc brake
companies, for conversion kit info. One insists that I can't install
manual brakes in my original power brake car, because the factory
offset
the booster in the firewall from where the standard, manual brake
master
cylinder was drilled. Anybody know if this is true? Also, my booster
is shot, but everyone tells me these old mopars were too touchy when
the
power brakes worked right, anyway. Is this true? I can tell you that
right now I need the drag chute from the Batmobile to stop the damn
thing.
Thanks for the help!
