Great to hear from you! I was planning to go to Ohlone this sunday, but with the way the car is running, I am not sure I will take it. I didn't go to Ben's since I thought he did not have a mechanic on staff anymore.

I was thinking of rebuilding the heads, or swapping them out and slapping them on regardless of the rings... All I know is I can't afford a rebuild! Is there a machine shop that can do the heads for me???

What time will you be there on sunday?

John, bring it by Dreamlot and talk to Ben. I'll look for you at Ohlone 
this Sunday, too. But you've got a couple options.
You can usually find a decent 383 for a fair price. Once you start 
pulling the heads off, you're going to spend some $$. If you do decide 
to replace things, keep all the original stuff for the next owner. 
Why don't you put a Chebbie 350 into it? (Just kidding everybody...)
Let's take a look and see what's wrong first.
