  OK, just when I thought I had figured this all out:
     so u say that the tapered axles can be eliminated from our early
     >>>.."64  8.75 rears, by buying the Moser axles?? This could be good
     news to me!!
    The early housings are considered one of the  the 741 family  ,
    correct??
     Is the 741 strong enough for big grip and big horsepower?
    By my researches ,these "earlys" were the narrowest of the B-body
    8.75's, if youre thinking rubber.
   Lastly , since the pumpkins interchange i assume a nice variety of
   "guts" are available  that would work in an early rear.
