  If you are running reasonable rpms, the 600 should be ok.  I've always used 
Edelbrocks and haven't had any problems.  They're pretty close out of the box 
and it seems I was always tinkering with Holley carbs I've used.  I have a 
600 edelbrock on my 460 Ferd because they didn't make a 750 when I built it.  
It's on a hunting rig and I haven't had a problem or had to adjust it after the 
initial install, course I could do without the 10 mpg....;-)  Joe
