It is a MUCH better piece than the 7 1/4 that came in the Diplomats, have one in my 86 Dip SE. It is a direct boltin for those cars, I was even able to use my brakes! A very good upgrade for Dips, Gran Furies, and 5th Aves (and possibly Miradas and late Cordobas), it's not the rearend the 8 3/4" is. Paid $100 for mine, some of the best cash I haev ever spent. Went from a 2.28 (!) to a 2.94 gear.
