And believe me there is a big difference. In hot rodding there are no rules, whatever makes you feel good. It wouldn't stop me from buying a 62 Dart with a chevy motor in it, how long does it take to pull a motor and transmission out of the car and drop SB and/or BB in it? I personally wouldn't do that to one of our belove Mopar's, but in reality there is no difference between that and taking the original engine out and putting in a bigger B/RB motor. The purist in our crowd probably cringes everytime they see us do that to one of the 62 to 65s. My whole take on this is that the 62 Dart got saved and my some day have corrected surgery to put it back whole. OK guys jump in, the water is about to warm up? :-) Dennis O.K. I will take a stab at it. The difference between the guy putting an off brand motor in a car is obvious. The brand X motor would never be found in that car originally, but a larger motor from the same company could be a possibility. Besides the look and the concerns about resale, it has a sense of laziness to it. At least that what I think when I see a 350 in all this stuff. Be creative try something else. Thats my take on it.
