Joe,

The accumulators supply oil to the motor if there is a drop in
oil pressure while the motor is being shut down to prevent 
damage. I have never thought about using one as a pre-oilier,
but it could work.

Earl, would those oil accumulators (spelling?) work to pre oil?  I
haven't 
looked into this, but I would think that plumbing an electric solenoid
valve in 
line between the motor and accumulator that is open when powered would
put oil 
pressure in the motor when the key/switch is turned on.  Probably
overkill 
for a street car, but for a dragster it would hold pressure between
rounds.  Now 
my head hurts...   Joe
