E-714 inside the weatherstrip grove that goes onto the "fence" (pinchweld lip around the windshield opening). Work the windshield in slowly , as Gary said "no screwdrivers" ...if possible obtain a few 1/8" x 5/8" x 6" fibre sticks and smooth the end to a soft point. Use the fibre sticks to "work" the windshield and backlite into the weatherstrip. Once seated in the weather strip "lock" the weatherstrip by closing the "split",there is a tool for this but with two fibre sticks (one to open the split and the other to "chase" the locking lip and push it down into the gap as you run around the perimeter of the windshield or backlite). This is easy to show a person but hard to describe!!! You can use a generous dish soap solution or use ru-glide (tire bead lubricant) to ease windshield installation and locking of the weatherstrip. Wash away all residue & air dry the perimeter of the windshield and backlite at the glass weatherstrip junction, run a small bead of 3M "window weld" liquid sealant around the perimeter of the glass (the window weld applicator has a cute little nozzle just for this) and it will never leak. Done lots '57 to '66 models just like this with no complaints! Screwdrivers and glass are natural enemys, and the glass always looses! Gary H.
