I would use the ubiquitous Rochester 2G carbs; cheap, sufficient cfm and block off the idle circuits on the two outboard carbs. I have pictures of Poly 318's with the three deuce setup; truly awesome with the finned alum. valve covers. I will send you a picture of the three deuce Poly setup on a member's 64 Plymouth. Which carbs would you use Gary if you had your druthers? Do you have a source for someone that can make progressive linkage? Nice stainless maybe? I was at a drive in last Tuesday night and a vette had a version of the P600 on it's 289 and it looked nice, square bores. The owner wasn't around that I could find to ask what he had but he had some nice tall 6" chromed air cleaners, like 4" high filters with stainless expanded metal screens. Looked nice. I wouldn't imagine there being too much of a height restriction with these low blocks even with adapters. I'm going to take mine to my carb guy and have him look it over. If he shakes his head, I'll be in touch. I thought mine had rochesters but they could be strombergs, it's buried in with my other treasures. Oh, the vette also had stainless and braided fuel lines and regulators, he must have had a HV fuel pump too. I got some nice ideas, too bad he wasn't around but I'll go back next Tuesday. It was a nice 63, not a split window but had the stainless head tops that came through the hood and a nice large scoop for the three air cleaners. Not too many Mopars so I left a patch on my way out! FYI: I have a P600 with the square carb pad for sale. I won my P600 on Ebay a two years ago, used but with carbs for 275. I thought I did pretty good. Haven't mag'd or tanked it or anything. Still in the box from the seller. It's missing some linkage though. I'd love to get new or slightly larger than 2G carbs but it's that weird 3 bolt flange. I'd like to put a 250-300 idler in the center and 250's on each end. 750 would be a lot of mix through the poly but with the right cam and valves, I bet it would work. Works on a 340 or LA 318 OK right?
