 Neal,A new section can be fabbed.Although I'm not a body man,I've seen 
it done before.Would probably,though not necessarily,involve an English 
wheel to curve the stock.Check around at some resto shops.I believe 
there are 1 or 2 quality shops in Oregon.Sometimes, you just have to pay 
someone to do something.It's not a crime.

As far as shooting yourself,what part of your body are we talking about?
