[AD removed for archives] ------------------------------------------------------------------- Give your opinion on Abortion and Win! caacERNb7yoMza/PermissionData ------------------------------------------------------------------- Kevin, About 10 years ago I had a 63 Polara 500. It was a 383 3-speed on the column hardtop; Rust-free, but needed paint and interior. Anyway, I had been working on the body and it was about half in primer. One Sunday I decided to take a little cruise and ended up running out of gas (the gauge never really worked). I called my next-door neighbor who was a nice guy, but not a car junkie to bring me some gas. Well he shows up, hands me the gas can, takes one look at the primered-up Polara and says: "Are you sure that's all that's wrong with it"!!!!! OUCH!! Ps: I bought that car for $500 kept it for 18 months and sold it for $1,000, and I am still kicking myself. Anyone who knows cars and the process to restore them will appreciate your work. This guy probably never had grease under his finger nails,or smashed fingers from dropping a tranny on them.I would go so far as to suggest that the only tools in his house belong to his wife,a set of tinker toy type tools with a tiny claw hammer, one pair of pliers, and 2 screwdrivers.
