Doug & Paul,
The hell with reapairing an AM radio that you won't listen to. They do great 
conversions these days with your orignal radio. 
Turn in into an AM FM with remote cd player in the trunk. The radio face and 
knobs stay original, just the guts get repaced. Ive had it done and they work 
great. You just dont have a dial for the FM stations. A quick on and off 
switches the radio from AM to FM. It costs about 400 bucks.
