Have a story for you Brian.When I was 16,before I rode in my 1st Dodge,I found a 62 Corvette I would kill for. My dad,bless his heart,didn't cosign for me. If he had,I would have been dead inside a week. Then I rode in a 64 Polara 500. That was all she wrote.All I ever wanted after that. 
I guess I'm kind of a vette snob,even though I've never owned one. I like any corvette 1967 and down. When they changed the body style,they lost personality,in my opinion.
My g/f loves the 73's. She owned one yrs. ago. Flat have no appeal to me. Anyway,I didn't mena it to sound as if Dodges are better,we do have the Viper. Just not the 50 year history vettes do.

I for one am the first to admit that great cars are my adult toys. 
Plastic or metal playpens makes no difference to me. I've owned some 
excellent Corvettes over the years, and I've certainly encountered my 
share of arrogant Corvette owners. When I do, I simply laugh it off and 
say, "Well that guy certainly has a Corvette attitude." lol
