My 65 has a 361, original engine with a Ebrock performer package from
summit.
300 HP at the flywheel and a smooth idle, 600 CFM #1406 performer carb.
I kept the pistons but went for 30 over rings, 516 heads and oversized
stainless valves and thorleys.
Now it's on an engine stand waiting to be transplanted in my 65 vert in
place of the 273.
Check your motor shops, hone plates are scarce for the (commando) B block.
We had to borrow one.

I think '66 was the last year for the 361 in cars.
