If you're in the central US or find the prices too high,I'm trying out a
few door panels for my 62 Fury 2 dr hardtop. The first I made was black
and looked good but a little plain, even with the stainless trim.On the
passenger side,I found some vinyl the approximate color as the original
(mauv/lavender) and and added a black wedge for contrast.I haven't glued
and stapled it all together yet but it looks pretty decent so far.If it
"works" good in the car,I'll redo the driver's side that is black now.
Then if members on the list with decent cars that have indecent door
panels and wallets that cant handle shock,I'll do door panels that may
not have the foil or electrically formed seams that the factory panels
did,but that will be better looking than rotten, torn and water damaged
pieces. I'll also be able to do some seat covers with original fabric
from Original Auto Upholstery out of Michigan. The patterns would be
needed as per whether the seats were for buckets or bench with or
without armrest..Just an idea in my head to take the place of a job that
doesn't exist any more Sorry for the long post, guys.
