I have a friend who had a hughes cam, lifter bores were within spec. After 10,000 miles, the intake lobe on #8 was rounded and razor sharp around the edges. I think the #7 exhaust lobe was also in process of flattening and it's lifter was starting to get sharp edges on it. He ended up having to re-cam it. He replaced it with a Crane Hydrolic roller cam, and hasnt had any more problems with it. When he contact hughes about it they were extremely rude with him, and told him he didnt know what he was doing when he put his engine together the first time around. BTW, the Racer Brown cam in my 440 rocks... :) Tom 65 Dart GT 'vert 68 Plymouth 'vert Las Vegas, NV [AD removed for archives] ------------------------------------------------------------------- Show your pride with a free* USA T-shirt.
