Re: RV 727 to Car 727

Obviously you need the long shaft but you have to be careful as there were several "micro" differences in 727s between 67 and their end (1978?? I think). So you need to know what year of tranny you are working with and go from there. I just went through all this last summer building a TF727 for my Charger. I used the book by Carl Munroe which details all this. I can do some photocopying and send info to you ( I know, I know  Old school low tech ). Or you can call me and I can read the parts to you over the phone

I have a short tail shaft slip yoke BB 727 that eventually needs to be converted to a car length tail shaft. Have a housing. What else do I need and what kind of cost do you think I'm facing?

I've only got $100 ties up in in and I suspect a rebuild is called for just in case. Not sure it's worth the effort as the only car I have is a '65 383 Satellite which is a unique transmission.
