I like 452s  I had 452 polished & ported by  me with 214 & 188 valves  & I 
put a set of  Eldelbrocks  on my 440 last summer it Did Not pick any but stayed 
the  same  but that's not totally true Alum heads make less HP than cast iron  
heads because of the heat disapation but also there is a weight diff  too
