I had to drill a 1/16" hole in the front throttle plates of the Holley
carb to close the throttle plates past the part throttle slot. This
allowed me to get a better idle mixture screw adjustment

Brian....can this same result be accomplished by turning the little
screw under the secondary linkage to hold the sec.plates open slightly
at idle? I've done this before with similar results.

Thanks,

Darwin, It sounds like it worked for you, but I've never tried it. Each
method may allow more air to flow though the carb at idle, while keeping
the primary throttle plates closed below the part throttle slot...Brian
