I installed a mid 70's Mopar alt. on my 64. Got the wiring instructions from my Dodge parts w/ no prob. It puts out 80 amps. I'll stay with the Penastar.

Never had a problem finding a Mopar altonator any place that I have been. 
If I am correct the Toyota alt cost considerable more that the Mopar 
altonator. I usually replace the amp gauge with a voltage guage anyway. 
I also find that if you make sure you ha ve good concections and clean 
grounds you very seldom have problems.
