If you have a dash pad, then yes,it will have holes from the clips. Pad is off my 64 Polara and that's what I have.Someone makes a nice aluminum bracket that slips under the pad itself and looks pretty good. Saw one on a 65 Coronet 500 at a local car show last week.

I like the look of a tachometer mounted on the smooth contours of an
unpadded dash.

I want to remove my tired dash pad ('64 Fury) and pretty up the metal
dash. I have never seen what the dash looks like with the pad removed.
Are there visible holes in the top and/or front of the dash from the
dash pad mounting hardware? If someone has a picture available, I would
appreciate seeing it.

Thanks,

Bob in Sacramento
