Re: van to car 727 interchange




They are the same. The only difference is the mount for the trans. Just install one for the car. Also it may have a little different gearing as compared to the one from a car.

Sounds like a good deal. I believe they are identical to passenger cars. Think they might have called them Loadflights.

I bought a good working  small block 727 from a   two wheeel drive  1977
Dodge van today for 40 dollars.  The  guy had exploded the 360, sucked
a valve.
   Anyway  for 40 dollars I took a gamble, its NOT a lock-up tranny so
   thats good but is it swappable in to a car or are there big
   diffferences between the  van 727s and car 727s?????????
