One way you can tell if it is from a van is that most vans had about a 1'
hole in the top of the bell housing for timing as you couldn't see the
timing marks on the front of the engine. Also the transmissions are the same
as cars as long as they both have the same length tail housing, and that can
be changed out. Transmission mounts are replaceable. I have made this
changeover many times over the years.

I don't know if came out of a van or possibly a truck as it had that
dropped
crossmember with it.   It looks the same as my other 4 727's  except for the
smallblock bellhousing.  Joe
