  You might try another State Farm agent, they do offer a collector's car
insurance. Listed under Exceptions and Endorsements, listed on my policy
is:
 586A= Antique,Collectible or Special interest  auto.

 You can also insure the value of the car by agreeing on "actual cash
value" providing receipts and bill of sale to show what you have
invested.
 Or, Go by the "Blue book" for the value of your car.
 I had been paying $25. every six months for a $5000 cash value Dodge
Charger, and upped that to include minimum liability required in Texas,
and it was $45.00 every six months.
