I just sold a 23 spline crashbox to another list member...they SUCK on
the street! I had it in my 64 Polara with a 413...scraped on almost
every shift, does NOT like to downshift! I didn't know what it was when
I installed it as I got it at a swap meet. Tried to sell it to Brewer's
at the Nats last year, but they didn't even want it for parts. Never
tried shifting it without the clutch, though. Mine had Liberty
gears...the synchro rings were welded to the gears, and only a few teeth
on the synchros.
