Napa carries the correct alternator, I do not have the number for it, but you need to make sure that you do NOT get the one that is compatible with electronic ignition. First they hooked me up with that one, and it wouldn't charge, then they got me the correct one and its been in there for a year (its a rebuilt one) without any problems whatsoever.

Anyone have a part number / source for a new alternator for my '62 Dart?



I was reading the October 2002 Mopar Muscle 'Driveway Tech' article, and it
mentioned a two-field alternator and solid-state regulator conversion.
There weren't any part numbers or sources though.



I'm assuming this would be a very easy thing to install - true?
