John, The clearance setting for the pick up coil in the distributor is .008
and don't use a metal feeler gauge. Use a brass feeler gauge. One other
trick is use a standard business card. Also the pickup coil may have given
up. But first check the button on the inside center of the cap.

Tried to fire the race car up today after not running since last fall.
It tried to start a couple of times, backfired, once, and that was it.
Pulled the terminal from the top of the distributor and spark is fine.
(Car has mopar electronics distributor and MSD 6AL ignition box).
Checked spark at #1 plug and Nada, none, zilch. I'm thinking the rotor
or cap, but both look brand new.

I don't know the proper terminology, but looked at the "star" wheel on
the distributor shaft, and I see a small chip in one of the teeth. I am
going to have to dig the manual out and get the right setting inside the
distributor, but darn if I can figure out the no spark at the plug
deal.should be really easy to do. Suggestions?
