 If you are getting spark at the coil wire going into the cap, then your
pick-up should be working. I don't think that a chip in the reluctor will
matter. It sounds like you aren't getting spark at the right place, at
the right time. Check the gap, like Gary Bradshaw suggested, but put the
eye on where the rotor is at top dead center, and see if the #1 plug hole
in the cap lines up.   Tom in Dallas
