Re: 64 Max Wedge

I don't consider myself any great expert (I'm humbled and grateful for
what I learn everyday from this crew), but I have an original Max
Wedge car (wrong engine; correct engine going in some day, which I
have), so I at least follow Ebay a little bit, which I'd consider a
reasonable guage for such stuff. I second Dodger's assesment. The MW
cross-ram goes consistently for $1,000+. The exhaut manifolds go for
$1,000+. Probably the same for the block only, if healthy, but those
come through only once or twice a year, if that. I'd check the
numbers on the block for sure and make sure it's MW. Mostly people
use 440's. It's too bad the heads don't match. But on the other
hand, the heads do show up on Ebay, I think more often than the other
stuff. But I think they usually go in the $1,200+ range. Air
Cleaners are a source if irritation to me since I need a pair, and
they go for $500+. Year One might still have them, but I'd like to
get originals; I'm still fishing.

On the other hand, I might be full of crap. These are my gut
feelings. I guess the bottom line is why do you want it?
