hello , i have same car as you , same engine and trans . i had same trouble , 
i took water hose and flushed it good thru the gooseneck . i drained it first 
at bottom hose , then replaced bottom hose , filled engine with solution of  
drain cleaner and water. i then started engine let run few minutes and flushed 
. i was amazed at the crude that come out bottom hose , put a pan to catch 
the water , you'll see what im talking about .
flush several times with water hose to clear up contaminates, it did the 
trick for me .
i have a three core radiator , i bet yours is same .
