My '63 Polara 500 is a factory big block AC car and has a fan shroud, 
fwiw. Someone may have added that fan shroud on the car along the way. 

The pn for a AC radiator is different (2445637)so maybe it is not as 
thick,  allowing for fan blade clearance?
