Base/cleacoat dries fast and cures fast, too.
(Urethane takes longer.)

I have painted or had vehicles painted in the winter: 
I just give it a few days to cure a little more before I install trim 
and take it out where the stone chips can get to it.  

Around here, they put down huge piles of cinders and gravel.  
(It helps you slide into trees, just as well as ice.)
