The book that I have been using is Galen Govier's white book. They are 
available from lots of places, I got mine from Year One. There are some 
places online for VIN decoding as well, but I couldn't find any places 
online to decode the fender tags. That is why I bought GG's book. I also 
have Darrell Davis's book on 64 plymouths and I am waiting for his dodge 
books...

As stated before, for a 1964 VIN there is no way to tell the number of 
doors.

Any car is only worth what you want to pay for it. If you think it is 
worth it and you are buying it to keep and enjoy, then to hell with 
everyone else. If you are buying it with the possibility to resell, then 
you gotta play this unfortunate game and do your research or else you 
might lose your money.

As you can see with the previous posts the field is full of hearsay, 
myth, and honest mistakes with a good dose of liars and frauds to round 
things out.
